Brentford vs West Bromwich Albion Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions

West Bromwich Albion vs Luton Town - 2019-20

Brentford will be aiming to close the gap on leaders West Bromwich Albion when the sides meet at Griffin Park in Friday’s Championship clash.

The Bees returned to action with an impressive away win over third-placed Fulham last weekend, a result that moved them two within eight points of top spot.

Having lost just three of their 18 league matches on home turf this campaign, they are 7/5 (2.40) favourites with bet365 to increase hopes of automatic promotion with another big win here.

Slaven Bilic’s men are without a win in four fixtures in all competitions but can be backed at 2/1 (3.00) to get back on track by coming out on top in this one.

Two of the previous three Championship encounters between this duo have resulted in draws, and you can get odds of 23/10 (3.30) on them cancelling each other out once again.

Bryan Mbeumo is unavailable, while Nikos Karelis and winger Sergi Canos are both long-term absentees.

Nathan Ferguson remains injured and is unlikely to play for the club again, having reportedly agreed to join Crystal Palace when his contract expires this summer.

Although sitting pretty at the top of the table, the Baggies will be getting slightly edgy after taking just two points from the last available nine against mid-table sides Wigan, Swansea and Birmingham - failing to score a single goal in each.

They will therefore be desperate to avoid defeat against Thomas Frank’s confident outfit, so are likely to set up reasonably conservatively and look to rely on a backline that has conceded just once in five league fixtures.

All in all, odds of 4/5(1.80) look like decent value on a West Brom team that is yet to find its feet in attack ensuring under 2.5 goals for the fourth Championship meeting in four with Brentford.
